About the role
The Contracts Department Manager is responsible for overseeing the negotiation and management of contracts with clients procurement departments as well as managing partnerships and supplier relationships. This role requires strong leadership negotiation skills attention to detail and the ability to coordinate multiple activities across different teams.
As a part of your job you will:
Team Leadership and Management
- Provide leadership guidance and mentorship to the contracts team partnership management team and supplier management team.
- Allocate resources effectively and delegate tasks to ensure timely completion of contract negotiations partnership activities and supplier management tasks.
Client Contract Negotiation and Management
- Lead contract negotiations with clients procurement departments ensuring favorable terms and conditions while protecting the companys interests.
- Review and analyze contract terms identify risks and propose solutions to mitigate them.
- Oversee the management of existing contracts including amendments renewals and terminations and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Partnership Management
- Develop and maintain partnerships with external organizations ensuring alignment with business objectives and contractual requirements.
- Lead partnership onboarding processes including contract negotiation and signature.
- Analyze and report partnership revenue to the executive team ensuring transparency and accountability.
Supplier Management
- Qualify suppliers based on spend categories and negotiate contracts up to signature ensuring compliance with B2B requirements.
- Manage purchase order issuing invoicing and payment release processes collaborating with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Lead annual supplier performance management activities fostering strong relationships and driving continuous improvement.
Process Improvement
- Continuously evaluate and improve contract negotiation partnership management and supplier management processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Implement best practices and standard operating procedures to streamline workflows and minimize risks.
Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external partners regarding contractrelated matters providing regular updates and addressing concerns.
- Communicate effectively with clients procurement departments partners and suppliers to clarify requirements resolve issues and negotiate mutually beneficial agreements.
Risk Management and Compliance
- Maintain uptodate records of contracts rate cards and intellectual property rights to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Shield Celfocus intellectual property rights by registering assets and frameworks as necessary and providing guidance on the correct usage of opensource software.
What are we looking for
- Bachelors degree in business administration law or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification preferred.
- Proven experience in contract negotiation and management partnership management and supplier relationship management (ideally in the IT industry).
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and develop crossfunctional teams
- Excellent negotiation communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Solid understanding of contract law risk management and compliance requirements.
- Affinity for analyzing complex contracts requiring solid legal awareness.
- Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to multitask prioritize competing demands and work effectively under pressure in a fastpaced environment.
- Fluency in English is mandatory (verbal and written).
- May involve periods of frequent travel
