Job Description
The aim of the Challenge Fund for Youth Employment (CFYE) is to improve economic prospects - via decent
work and income - for up to 200,000 young men and women in the Middle East, North Africa and Horn of Africa.
In particular, the Fund will focus on opportunities for young women.
Private sector companies in Sudan, Jordan and Kenya were invited to submit concept notes geared to scalable
solutions for creating more and better jobs and income generating opportunities for youth. Project proposals
had to meet certain minimum eligibility e.g. minimum number of jobs, minimum amount of co-funding and
were assessed on a competitive basis. This led to a shortlist of applicants who have been invited to present
