Job Summary:
This role will be responsible for the commercial performance in Nigeria responsible for the P&L of the company and handles all teams related to sales and revenue generation marketing laboratory and technical services operations and commercial planning. The COO is the main point of contact for partners OEMs MD when it comes to assessing the company s performance trajectory versus the Business Plan. This position provides oversight to the Sales team in setting the direction and market strategy enforcing policies driving best practices ensuring complete customer satisfaction and meeting the Nigeria business goals.

Job Responsibilities:
Strategy & Leadership
  • Support the shared vision and act as a change agent by utilizing various change management techniques to enhance business process and operational excellence.
  • Define and execute revenue and commercial strategy for the organization under the Management approved P&L objective.
  • Provide strategic direction and plans for the company with regard to all commercial functions including sales the technical and laboratory services marketing and operations.
  • Represent the Company and develop relationships with OEMs government institutional and business leaders.
  • Maintain working relationships with government institutions senior management from industryrelated partners manufacturers counterparts from the broader quality control solutions community.
Sales:
  • Develop sales strategy and business plan to drive business growth and the achievement of set goals including increasing sales market share and profitability; cascade it down to quarterly and monthly sales operations plan
  • Responsible for managing the entire sales pipeline i.e. managing sales process from order to invoicing; this is achieved by interacting with all relevant departments within the Company.
  • Drive Nigeria sales performance from account and revenue planning(strategy) through execution (client meetings and business development cycle
  • Keep abreast of economic industry market and regulatory trends ascertain their (potential) impact on the business and advice management; accordingly develop complementary strategies or initiatives to strengthen the company s market share position in the market
  • Collaborate with internal teams including operations marketing and technical departments to ensure a unified approach towards business development goals.
  • Regularly assess and analyze sales performance metrics identifying areas for improvement and devising action plans to optimize results.
Marketing:
  • Provide the planning and leadership to the marketing department by ensuring that the appropriate structures systems competencies and values are developed in order to meet and exceed the goals of the Marketing plan
  • Assume overall responsibility for developing the annual marketing plan for the organization; for strategic market planning; market research programs; and control of the marketing budget.
  • Brand Management: Oversee the brand identity and positioning for the company ensuring consistency and adherence to corporate guidelines across all marketing materials and communication channels.
Services:
  • Develop and deploy effective policies/strategies to increase the company s technical and laboratory services performance and profit.
  • Organize periodic strategy review with team members to analyze performance adjust or generate firmer strategies for top notch service delivery.
Operations:
  • Develop and coordinate the implementation of the strategies plans policies and procedures for procurement and requirements of the company to deliver the target benefits and financial savings.
  • Ensure the quality and efficiency of operations across all clients and projects and ensures accountability throughout the supply chain.
  • Responsible to serve as the focal point for operations (procurement order fulfillment logistics and freight) for all product portfolios within the company.
Customer Experience:
  • Build and operate an efficient customer centric customer experience processes to ensure every interaction between customers and the organization.
  • Lead efforts to broaden the scope of market segments creating marketing flexibility and instilling responsive and timely delivery of the companys services

Requirements

  • Minimum academic qualification of a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration Marketing Accounting Economics or any related field.
  • A Master s degree in Business Administration Marketing Finance or Accounting and additional advanced training relating to management is highly desirable.
  • At least 10 years postgraduation experience with at least 5 years in a strategic leadership role.
  • Candidate must have served as a CSuite Executive member from a Multinational or Global Company.
  • Experience from the FMCG Manufacturing Oil and Gas (Upper Stream) and Scientific Industries as a CSuite Executive Member would be highly considered.
  • Commercial acumen: Ability to identify quantify and harness opportunities. Be imaginative in finding solution to issues anticipating trends and opportunities and pursuing opportunities for the business.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing operational performance within financial budgets
  • Must have an execution mindset with ROI mentality. Understand costtoserve analysis and ROI workings.
  • Datadriven decisionmaking: should be adept at leveraging data and analytics to drive commercial decisions.
  • Collaboration and leadership: possess strong collaboration and leadership skills to drive crossfunctional initiatives.
  • Good communication and managerial skills: Ability to create focus and clarity for team with clear communication on ongoing activities to provide context.
