Job Description

The Clinical Therapist will provide multiple aspects of support and guidance to teams and nonclinical support personnel. The Clinical Therapist will actively work towards licensure (or to maintain licensure) and will utilize established evidencebased practices to promote opportunities for growth healing and wellness for identified clients through individual or group therapy opportunities. They may provide consultation or training to teams. The Clinical Therapist will provide other relevant clinical support to Agency committees as assigned by the department manager.

Essentials Responsibilities:

Provide coverage for direct individual counseling and therapy to clients of The Moore Center or other regions.

Facilitate or cofacilitate and implement evidencedbased skills groups or therapeutic groups.

Maintain individual treatment or group notes and billing documentation as required by current standards of practice and The Moore Center s policies.

Engage in ethical practice under an approved supervision agreement by the Board of Mental Health.

Maintain positive relationships with sending or referring team members or agencies.

If assigned by Manager participate in the Local Risk Management Committee as an active member inclusive of authoring Risk Management Plans as assigned by Manager.

Perform with high ethical standards congruent with American Counseling Association Association for Treatment of Sexual Abusers and other reputable professional organizations such as National Association for Social Workers or comparable codes of ethics.

Participate in regular clinical supervision with Licensed Clinician and seek out supervision as needed when indicated by unique and/or complex issues presented by clients and/or their teams.

As needed provide clinical consultation to Senior Leadership regarding high risk/clinically complex individuals.

Work collaboratively with therapists regarding departmental decisions clinical decisions.

Participate in fiscal goals and development for P025.

Assist in determining improvements to systemic workflow to improve quality and efficiency of the department.

Teamwork regular attendance onsite and facetoface interaction (as needed) are essential job functions.

Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

Skills and Abilities:

Competency in therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy traumainformed care dialectical behavior therapy and other evidencebased approaches; ability to adapt evidencebased modalities to the unique needs of individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Ability to complete written treatment notes treatment plans with diagnoses and billing documentation as required by current standards of practice and The Moore Center s policies

Ability to develop clinical treatment groups according to best practice identify goals methodology and measure outcomes.

Ability to represent Moore Center Services Inc. as a competent trained clinical professional.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to provide clinical leadership to teams as needed/requested.

Demonstrate a strong emphasis on customer service skills to our clients staff and outside professionals.

Ability to identify and/or develop community resources; refer clients and their teams to those resources.

Competency in detailed record reviews needs assessments treatment planning.

Ability to identify training needs of staff and support them to enhance their clinical skills and documentation.

Demonstrate creative innovative thinking and problem solving.

Interact effectively with people of varied educational socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds skill levels and value systems.

Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word Excel Outlook and the ability to master new software.

Demonstrate a commitment to The Moore Center s values and ethics of psychological services.

Comply with all state agency and department policies and procedures.

All staff must adhere to the NH state law requiring mandated reporting of suspected abuse neglect or exploitation. Additionally staff are required to maintain criminal motor vehicle and Bureau of Elderly and Adult Services record checks that meet agency standards. Staff are also required to travel and transport clients when applicable. This includes having access to a reliable vehicle a valid driver s license and maintaining personal auto insurance of $100000/300000.


Education and Requirements:

Master s degree in Counseling Psychology Social Work or related field preferably with a license to practice i.e. LCMHC LICSW etc.

Demonstrated knowledge in field of clinical counseling developmental disabilities psychology or social work.

Previous experience working as a member of clinical teams in mental health field desirable.

Experience in Illness Management Recovery Model preferred.

Proficiency in various software applications including Word Excel and Access.

Valid driver s license and access to a safe operating vehicle during scheduled working hours.
