Key Responsibilities
- To provide leadership and direction for the staff within Theatre Services
- To ensure optimum service delivery and efficient and effective use of resources
- To ensure delivery of effective and efficient pre and post anaesthetic care
- To ensure environment and facilities are adequate and safe and meet regulatory requirements.
- To ensure open and effective communication flow is maintained between team members patients and stakeholders both within the organisation and externally
Requirements
- Registered general nurse
- Be on the live register with The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland
- Demonstrable commitment to patient safety and quality
- Up to date knowledge and experience of theatre practices
- Minimum of three years post registration clinical experience
- Minimum three years experience in a people management role
- Management qualification preferable or willing to undertake
- Proven leadership and change management skills
