The successful candidate for this position will be a 1099 coordinator with Music Ministry International and be responsible for the following:

Scope of Work: Directs, advises and coordinates Religious Education (RE) for the Yokota Protestant The DRE consults and coordinates with the Protestant Chaplain on all religious education requirements for the Protestant The Coordinator shall assist the Protestant chaplain in the administration of the parish office and to attend to the facilitating of parish and chapel processes and The Coordinator shall coordinate the entire Protestant religious education program with the Wing Chaplain, Protestant chaplain and

Period of Performance: This is a five-year

Location: Primary facilities for the services provided will be the Traditional Chapel Bldg 345 and the East Chapel Bldg (other DoD facilities may be used with proper coordination and reservation with the respective offices and facility managers including but not limited to those stated in para )

Workmanship: All work shall be accomplished within the guidelines of the Protestant chaplain, Air Force Instructions, and the Wing Chaplain s Policy

Work to be Accomplished: The DRE will:

Coordinate and administer a comprehensive Protestant RE program which includes the following: RE classes for nursery age children ( AWANA or similar program) through adult, Children s Church, Vacation Bible School, and various special projects as deemed necessary by the Protestant and Wing

Assist the Protestant chaplain in determining curriculum needs, selecting appropriate curricula in accordance with Protestant teaching and Air Force Chaplain Corps

Possess a working knowledge of the Christian church calendar and anticipates RE needs of the Protestant

Plan, develop, and implement an annual Advent/Christmas Program, Lent/Easter Program, and Vacation Bible School programs, as needed or directed by the Wing Chaplain, to include recruiting, training, and equipping volunteers of these

Present at RE class sessions, including evening or weekend

Visit all RE classes as necessary to ensure quality control of the RE

Coordinate fellowship meals for Protestant RE activities as directed by the Protestant

Coordinate with the Protestant chaplain if unable to attend and/or provide an acceptable

Prepare an annual fiscal year Protestant RE budget and coordinates requirements with the Protestant

Ensure purchase requests are submitted and RE materials are ordered for use in accordance with para 1 Complete, coordinate, and submit the necessary forms for processing supply, equipment, and curriculum orders through the Protestant chaplain, Chapel Tithes and Offerings Account Manager (or equivalent), and NCOIC/Superintendent, in accordance with local instruction and Wing Chaplain

1 Coordinate project officer requests, return project officer reports, processes and manage collection of funds projects, and deposits project officer and project collection

1 Maintain a library of resource materials (, books, videos, DVDs, and other teaching aides) and maintains a current list of such

1 Inventory materials received from Chapel Tithes and Offerings (CTOF)

1 Recruit, train, and equip volunteer teachers and

1 Develop, plan, and implement RE workshops for volunteer

1 Coordinate background investigation for volunteers as required by Department of Defense Instruction , Criminal History Background Checks on Individuals in Child Care Services, Air Force Instruction 52-101, and

1 Maintain an accurate and up-to-date database of teachers, aides, substitutes, and facilitators in the Protestant RE

1 Maintain attendance records of program Tracks and submits RE attendance figures for Protestant chaplain over the program for use with HQ PACAF/HC and HAF/HC statistical reports as Submit facility request forms to the chapel scheduler for coordination and
