- Master’s degree in the field of international development, business administration, public administration, social sciences, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience supporting USAID MEL efforts.
- Experience in the oversight of MEL or M&E development or humanitarian programs as Chief of Party.
- Demonstrated understanding of USAID initiatives, practices, and policies, including the USAID CLA practice, USAID Localization Initiative, etc.
- Experience designing and conducting evaluations, monitoring, and oversight of CLA and capacity building tasks for international development projects, ideally funded by USAID.
- Experience managing research and/or M&E in non-permissive environments and conflict zones, preferably in Jordan and/or the MENA region.
- Proven supervisory, mentorship, and leadership capabilities for all levels of local and international staff (employees and consultants).
- Excellent ability to deliver sound guidance, leadership, and solutions on a variety of MEL, CLA, and other technical tasks.
- Excellent demonstrated ability to effectively interact with and develop relationships with USAID, local professionals, international donors, host country government counterparts, and implementing partners.
- Excellent oral and written English, and proficiency in Standard Arabic is a plus.
