- Responsible for the overall financial policy of the company, including budgeting and internal financial control
- Directs and controls the financial management and cost accounting, taxation and treasury functions
- Responsible for cash flow and accounts receivable
- Consolidates capital assets, maintenance and company operating budgets
- Exercises accounting control to ensure that budgeted expenditures do not exceed amounts authorized Interprets operating results as they affect the financial aspects of the company and makes specific recommendations for actions to mitigate risk, to optimize costs, and improve results
