Record and maintain financial transactions
Prepare reports and correspond by email
Keep well organised financial records, notes, files of hardcopy paperwork, electronic records and documentation and must be able to produce them on demand
General book keeping: reconciliations of invoices, receipts and statements
Manage the payment of accounts
Manage and monitor BAS statements and lodge in a timely manner
Payroll - (3-6 staff) enter/update staff details, process the pay, check leave balances etc
Keep detailed employee records
Monitor financial transactions and report on them
Prepare any reports for the accountant
Maintain a timesheet with time taken and tasks completed
Other Ad Hoc tasks relevant to the role
At least 3 years of relevant work experience Excellent communication skills, both in written and verbal English Experience with small business bookkeeping Expert experience and certified with Xero bookkeeping software A good understanding of leave accruals and good record keeping practice Knowledge of Australia bookkeeping compliance for BAS and any other taxation A well organised system and keeps the Dental Practice Owner informed of all activities and tasks undertaken.
