Job Description
We are looking for a new Cardano Developer who will be performing research in the blockchain and smart contract protocol design and development spaces. This position provides potential candidates with the intellectual freedom to design brand new dApp protocols from scratch, along with the opportunity to implement them and release them to the community. The candidate will be required to perform research into specific areas of interest for the company, design dApp protocols from scratch, develop solid smart contracts and collaborate with the rest of the team in the most efficient way possible. This position requires a strong functional programming background to ensure that the candidate is able to scope projects realistically and to communicate technical requirements to the rest of the team.
Tasks
- Research design patterns in the EUTXO Model
- Design dApp/DeFi protocols and systems from scratch
- Perform the development of Plutus Smart Contract for enterprise and community products
- Translate high-level research into well-scoped development plans
- Develop educational material for internal and external use 6. Participate in internal ideation sessions for product development
- Testing of smart contracts on Cardano (Emulator but ideally Property Based Testing)
- Integrate off-chain with onchain code without PlutusTX but with Client (JS library like lucid, meshJS, multiplatform lib)
Requirements
- Proficiency in PlutusTX (strong Haskell understanding)
- Solid understanding of Cardano s EUTXO Model.
- Be proactive as we are a core team that will contribute to Cardano s mass adoption
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English).
- Comfort with reading academic/research papers. 9.
- Comfort with leading novel research and translating that into understandable write-ups

Hiring Criteria
- The candidate must have excellent verbal skills in English
- The candidate must have been a Block Chain Developer for at least 4 years
- Proficiency in PlutusTX and experience using Haskell for more than 2 years is a must
- An ability to Integrate off-chain with on-chain code without PlutusTX but with Client facing technology,i.e., JS library like lucid, meshJS, multiplatform lib is a must
- Candidates with strong Cardano experience are preferred
- The candidate must be located in Africa, Asia or Europe
