We are looking for a Senior Azure Developer / Data Engineer to join our team and be part of our exciting mission.

Who You Are

• You are passionate about cloud applications development & data engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in data engineering, big data analytics, computer engineering, or related field.
• 5-8 years of experience designing & implementing multi-tenant data solutions, with team leadership
• 3+ years of experience of Java application development using cloud PaaS, ideally in Azure
• Hands-on experience with micro-services, serverless functions, CORS, APIs, messaging & events processing services.
• Experience with Identity management and RBAC using Azure Active Directory B2C, Identity federation, OAuth 2.0.
• Working experience of relational databases such as Azure SQL, Azure Synapse.
• Experience in Angular web application development.
• Knowledge of design best practices and industry-leading technology

• You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with agile & DevOps processes
• Experience in advanced data analytics including data modeling, data mining, and segmentation techniques
• Knowledge of database creation (DDL, DML, DCL), database tuning, performance planning and query optimization by leveraging indexing, partitioning and denormalization techniques.
• Experience with big data and scaling a data platform
• Hands on experience in creating complex SQL queries, stored procedures, SQL functions and triggers
• Hands on experience in ensuring data integrity is maintained, ensuring resiliency coping with failures, retries / rollbacks etc.
• Demonstrated ETL/ELT & data integration/processing skills
• Hands on experience with Azure DataFactory
• Data engineering certification is highly desirable, e.g Azure DP-200 - Implementing an Azure Data Solution and Azure DP-201 - Designing an Azure Data Solution
• Experience working with NoSQL databases such as Mongo DB or Cosmos DB.
• Experience with Python and R
• Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and predictive analysis
• Familiar with Terraform

What You Will Do

• Working collaboratively with product owners, data analysts, data scientists and users to develop a deep understanding of stakeholder requirements and business objectives
• Leading the design and development of consumer-facing data analytics solutions
• Supporting the prioritization and management of solution backlogs to achieve maximum business value
• Designing, developing & maintaining high performance, scalable and secure cloud native web applications based on Azure PaaS (and potentially IaaS) by leveraging domain-driven design and industry best practices
• You may also be asked to perform data engineering tasks such as
• Performs ETL, ELT operations and administration of data and systems securely and in accordance with enterprise data governance standards.
• Monitor and maintain data pipelines proactively to ensure high service availability.
• Assemble large, complex sets of data for manipulation by data analysts & data scientists
• Identify, design and implement internal process improvements including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability and optimizing data delivery
• Build required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from various data sources using Azure and SQL technologies
• Work with stakeholders including the Product, Data and Design teams to support their data infrastructure needs while assisting with data-related technical issues
• Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability

Hybrid Working

3 days a week in the office working alongside your team, developing, growing, learning. 2 days a week at your home office.
