We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Business Development Executive to join our team in the Freight Forwarding industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and prospecting new business opportunities through coldcalling and sales activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and prospect new business/clients via coldcalling and sales activities.
  • Build and develop strong relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Conduct regular followups with clients to encourage upselling and retention.
  • Monitor the progress of the shipment until the final destination.
  • Participate in contract setting and monitor customer payments.
  • Take ownership of customer issues and follow through till resolution.
  • Preparation of Daily Sales Reports (DSR) and updating shipment status to customers on a daily basis.
  • Regularly attend team meetings.
  • Submit needbased data to Manager.
  • Quick response to emails.
  • Resolve customer queries regarding shipments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Marketing or related field.
  • Proven track record of 12 years in Freight Forwarding or a similar industry.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Goaloriented with a focus on achieving sales targets.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Knowledge of freight forwarding processes and procedures is preferred.
