Business Admin Apprenticeship - Potholes

We have an exciting brandnew opportunity for a Business Administration Apprentice to join our fastpaced Potholes team within the Infrastructure division at Ground Control.

This role will be supporting our Potholes operational team so you will get exposure to minor civils works aspects of health and safety and how we mobilise our contracts as well as all you need to know about working in an office environment. We will support you every step of the way with your studies spending up to 20% of your week completing your Level 3 Business Admin course.

Day to day we will get you involved in many aspects of the Potholes department including;

• Working with the mobilisation team to deliver an efficient service to our clients
• Raising of Purchase Orders related to materials and plant equipment
• Liaising with our specialist Field Teams and suppliers
• Providing general admin support to the Potholes wider team

Who are we looking for

We are looking for fast learner with a curious mindset who has a genuine interest in learning essential admin skills. Attention to detail and being proactive are key in this role as you will soon have your own responsibility and will need to take ownership of your work.

This is a busy but fun and closeknit team so everyones efforts are important to the overall success. Youll have to show a strong team ethic focusing on fantastic service every day as well as being able to maintain high enthusiasm. Youll be assigned a buddy and get lots of support and the team will work with you each day to help you as you become competent in the role.

We would love you to progress within the Potholes team in the future so a genuine interest in working within a Construction office environment is essential.

Youll need to love being organised and get a kick out of ticking things off your to do list. Youll also need to have strong computer skills including Excel & Outlook to assist you in your role; but we can help you with this where needed.

This is a hybrid role with the opportunity to spend 1 to 2 days a week in our office in Billericay with the rest of the week working from home partnering with the team on video calls. These days can flex with the needs of the business. We will support you with your studies but you must be highly selfmotivated as you will need to stay on track and complete this at the same time as your busy role.
