Position: AWS cloud platform Engineer

Location: Remote

USC GC GC EAD H4 and bench h1b

$60-64/ hour c2c Max

Duration: 6 months

Note: Need Sr. candidates with 9+ years of experience.

Role Scope / Deliverables:

Work with our Data Engineering team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the company.

Manage cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines.

Orchestrate and automate cloud-based platforms throughout the company.

Deploy and debug cloud initiatives as needed in accordance with best practices throughout the development lifecycle.

Design and build compliance platform for AWS resources

Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance

Develop, maintain, and execute technical roadmaps; research, evaluate, recommend, adopt, and institutionalize new technologies; define best practices and standards.

Provision and administer Infrastructure as code (IaC) using best practices for enterprises across the AWS platform

Key Skills:

Five years of experience with Cloud Platform such as AWS, hands-provisioning, operating and maintaining systems running on AWS

Five years of experience in developing software using languages such as Python or Java.

Proficiency in developing, deploying, and debugging cloud-based applications using AWS

Ability to use the AWS service APIs, AWS CLI, and SDKs to write applications

Ability to use a CI/CD pipeline to deploy applications on AWS

Experience with AWS Data Related Services, which include but not limited to S3, Redshift, Athena, and Glue.

Experience with AWS Security, which includes but not limited to writing IAM Policies, creating Access keys, and configuring Subnet

Hands-on Experience with Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform)

Experience with VCE, and Github is required.

Security-first design, HashiCorp Vault is a plus

Extensive experience with open-source technology, software development, and system engineering

Experience with the usage of common application protocols and messages (TCP/IP, HTTP, SOAP, SMTP, RESTful APIs, XML/JSON)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

AWS Certified Developer Associate or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional or equivalent.
