Automotive Mechanic

• General maintenance and repairs of vehicles including but not limited to;
  
• Logbook servicing
  
• Diagnosing of vehicle faults
  
• Repairs and maintenance of all makes and models of vehicles
  
• Accessory fitting
  
• Test driving vehicles
  
• Quality control and inspection of vehicles
  
• Workshop housekeeping duties
  
• Diagnosing and repairing air conditioners if licenced.
  
• Fitting of tyres and completing wheel alignment and fitting batteries
  
• Working within a team environment
  
• Accessory fitting- predominately 4wheel drive accessories- light bars, bull bars, lift kits, suspension upgrades
  
• Safety inspections
  
• Completing jobcards in a timely manner
  
• Common rail diesel experience
  
• Scan tool diagnostic
  
• Interpretation of live data
  
• Welding and oxy cutting
  
• Refurbishment of engine components-diffs, engines and gearboxes
  
• Clutch and brake repair
  
• Interior repair
  
• 
  

Requirements

• Minimum experience as Arborist for 3-5 years.
  
• AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV
