Asphalt Concrete Finisher

• Execute concrete finishing tasks with precision and attention to detail.
  
• Use hand and power tools to shape and texture concrete surfaces according to project specifications.
  
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  
• Operates a screed to level freshly placed concrete according to grade and depth specification.
  
• Smooth concrete surface using either a hand trowel long handled bull float or powered float.
  
• Cut joints/grooves in concrete with edging tools to help control cracking.
  
• Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces.
  
• Monitor the wind heat and cold as it affects the curing of the concrete.
  

Requirements

• To be eligible for consideration all applicants must possess a valid Drivers License.
  
• At least 2 years proven experience working with asphalt is necessary.
  
• 12 years of experience as a Concrete Finisher including expertise in placing finishing protecting and repairing all concrete curb or flatwork surfaces according to specifications.
  
• Skilled in smoothing finishing freshly placed concrete applying surface treatments and restoring concrete surfaces.
  
• Capable of heavy lifting climbing balancing stooping kneeling crawling crouching and reaching
  
• Must have good vision stamina handeye coordination and ability to estimate size and dimensions.
  
• Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies.
  
• Able to work outdoors in dusty or dirty areas.
  
• Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
  
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and achieve goals.
  
• Adaptive to different personalities and management styles
