MDSearch is seeking an FRCPtrained Anesthetist to join a team of congenial and skilled Anesthesiologists in a highly desirable community.

The selected Anesthesiologist will be providing services in various areas including General Surgery Endoscopy Orthopedics Urology ENT Obstetrics and Gynecology Psychiatry and Dental Surgery. There is also the possibility of working in a closed ICU.

Responsibilities will include covering the Operating Rooms obstetrical services inpatient acute pain and preoperative work. You will be dealing with approximately 10000 surgical procedures each year along with handling between 1400 to 1500 births annually.

You will have the opportunity to work in six spacious operating rooms that were built in 2014 and are equipped with the latest hightech equipment. These rooms also include pre and postsurgical care areas.

The Anesthesiologist will have the opportunity to educate and mentor residents from Queens University often holding a Queens University appointment. Candidates who have a keen interest in regional anesthesia and acute pain management will be highly preferred.


Key Qualifications:

  • FRCPtrained candidates are preferred
  • Valid independent license from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario or the ability to obtain one. FPA trained candidates may also be considered.
  • Interest in regional anesthesia and acute pain management

Rewards and Benefits:

  • Payment is on a feeforservice basis supplemented with a call stipend
  • Additional incentives may be available from the City of Belleville offering $75000 with a 5 year ROS.
