Android Native Developer

Glartek, founded in 2017, is a fast-growing leader in Augmented Reality (AR) solutions for the Manufacturing Industry and our mission is to increase the efficiency and safety of production and maintenance processes. Our software solutions combine the AR and Internet of Things (IoT) domains to bring visibility, optimization and reassurance of field operations. Glartek has offices in Lisbon and Leiria, Portugal. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of the growth of the company, reporting directly to the product team. This intense and demanding role will require you to be involved in all augmented reality projects from concept to completion. As the ideal candidate, your goal is to be a versatile, high-energy and problem solving driven. You will be involved in fast-paced day-to-day mobile and wearables development. Tasks

• Design and build native applications for the Android platform.
• Meeting with the design team to discuss UI/UX ideas and specifications.
• Planning and implementing new functionalities.
• Lead the entire application lifecycle right from concept stage until delivery and post launch support.
• Responsible for quality and performance of the apps.
• Must be capable of translating high level user requirements into technical tasks.
• Identifying and fixing code errors and performance.
• Be a proactive advocate for improving the app.
• Ensuring products conform to high industry standards.

Requirements

• BSc/MSc degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar field.
• Experience in Android Native application development.
• Android/ Java application development experience.
• Experience using Kotlin.
• Programming proficiency for mobile applications.
• Good in testing and conformance frameworks for Android OS.
• Experience working with undocumented code and documenting it.
• Good communication skills.
• Experience with memory and space optimization.
• Experience working with 3rd Party SDKs and integration.
• Good troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
