As an Android Mobile Developer, some of the things we d expect you to do are to…

• Plan, architect, design, build, test, and refine our customer-facing Android mobile application to meet our clients needs.
• Work collaboratively with the iOS developers, product managers, API developers, testers, and other key stakeholders. You will be working both on the long-term release cycles (which requires good planning and focus) and the day-to-day management of feature implementation.
• Be a key contributor to driving mobile-centric user-focused services. This role has the responsibility of Android mobile application development and QA. This role will be managed by a Lead Developer.
• Architect, design, and build Android apps.
• Analyze per-task briefs to produce technical implementation plans and estimates.
• Work alongside backend developers to improve, whenever possible, the response times of the API in order to provide a fast and smooth experiencewhile using the apps.
• Review and make recommendations for design and UX.
• Implement new features and amendments.
• Bug investigation and solutions.
• Enthusiastically participate in SCRUM activities and contribute new items to our product backlog.
• Adhere to our coding standards, keep up with current practices.
• Provide accurate, detailed, and up-to-date documentation of code and systems.
• Train and up-skill your team in Android development.
• Submit apps to Google Play and ensure apps are approved.
• Maintain and improve our continuous test build.
• Assist in pro-active monitoring and improving our systems: production, development, build, and testing platforms.
• Assist withother devops, QA, and software development tasks as required.

It would be awesome if you had the following…

• Solid commercial experience in Android Development writing production-quality code.
• Experience working on both Android JAVA and Kotlin.
• Experience working with Flutter is highly desirable.
• A strong unit testing driven development experience.
• Experience with UI and Integration testing with tools like Espresso.
• Ready to work in a cross-functional environment.
• Experience working end to end from development to release, bugfix, maintenance.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering, mobile application development, mobile computing, computer science or a similar programming-centric field of study.
