Agriculture post-harvest consultant

To support Advance Consulting in Jordan, we aim to select a consultant to implement a series of
export pilots in Jordan from October 2020 to January 2021. The pilots are aimed at formulating,
piloting and verifying improved harvest and post-harvest practices in pilot shipments from the
Jordan grower to the end-buyers in the EU and the Gulf. The improved practices will contribute to
safeguarding quality and lengthening the shelf life of horticulture produce. Concretely, the
consultant is expected to perform the following tasks, which may be adjusted or revised as per
project needs:
- Analyse current harvest and post-harvest practices for three selected horticulture crops;
- Provide technical input into recommended improved harvest and post-harvest practices;
- To coordinate and monitor export consignments from Jordan to the EU and Gulf;
- To support the technical analysis of produce quality and shelf life before, during and after
- shipment;
