Compensation: Base Pay is N280, 000.00 monthly gross
About Company: Our client is a renowned Civil and Building Engineering Construction Group with Head Office and operations in the South-South region of Nigeria.
Job Summary: The Accountant will administer accounting operations to meet legal requirements. He/she will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Company s financial transactions and procedures. The Ideal candidate should be familiar with audits, invoices and budget preparations. He/she should be able to manage accounting activities including bank reconciliations, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help create and implement financial policies to guarantee operational efficiency.
- Maintain records and receipts for all daily transactions.
- Ensure financial records are kept up-to-date with the latest transactions and changes.
- Prepare the monthly project profitability report.
- Monitor Project Cost budget utilization and report on same
- Monitor and report on departmental budget utilization
- Ensure individual project accounts (performance & cashflows) are reconciled and reported periodically
- Collaborate with the treasury and other team members on balance sheet accounts reconciliations
- Work on organization internal controls and financial reporting
- Fulfill other ad-hoc finance & accounting requests as requested by management
Requirements
Key Requirements:
- HND/BSC in Finance, Accounting, or relevant field.
- ICAN or ACCA qualification is important
- 5+ years experience in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes.
- Ability to turn large data sets into meaningful insights
- High proficiency in MS Excel
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
