Job Summary

POSITION PURPOSE

The Department Manager Performance Evaluation is responsible for the design coordination and integrity of the districts Clinical Education systems and for providing specialized support to instructional and administrative evaluation practices. This roleconnects educator pipelines clinical experiences and evaluation expectations to ensure high-quality preparation compliance and alignment with district workforce needs.

KEY PROGRAMS PROJECTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports district implementation of the districts instructional and administrative evaluation systems by co-designing and delivering training on observation evidence collection and actionable feedback.

  • Leads and conducts the certification program for observation and evaluation processes.

  • Supervises and supports the Performance Evaluation/Clinical Education District Resource Teachers.

  • Serves as the district lead for Clinical Education and educator pipeline systems including final internships early field experiences residency pathways and para-to-teacher support systems.

  • Coordinates and manages all university partnerships related to clinical placements including alignment of timelines expectations and district non-negotiables.

  • Designs and oversees intern placement onboarding compliance and tracking systems with targeted prioritization of high-needs and Transformation Network schools.

  • Acts as the district escalation point for complex or high-risk clinical situations involving intern conduct student safety compliance concerns or university disputes.

  • Develops and maintains clinical education procedures tools templates and succession documentation to ensure continuity and scalability.

  • Aligns clinical experiences and mentor feedback practices to evaluation rubric language to strengthen hiring decisions and new-teacher readiness.

  • Plans and coordinates strategic recognition events and external representation related to educator pipelines including intern celebrations signing events and board-facing recognition items.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required to perform this job successfully.

Education: A masters degree. Degree or formal training in educational leadership or administration/supervision preferred.

Experience: Three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience in Human Resources or educational programs with three (3) years of related management or supervisory experience preferred. Educational Leadership experience preferred.

Certificates/Licenses/Registrations: None.

Language Skills: Reads and interprets general business and professional journals technical procedures or regulations. Writes reports correspondence and manuals. Effectively presents and responds to questions from managers and the public.

Mathematical Skills: Works with math concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry. Applies concepts such as fractions percentages ratios and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability: Solves practical problems and deals with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interprets a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form.

Computer Skills: Knowledge of relevant and current computer software programs.

The district accords preference in selection retention and promotion procedures to certain veterans and spouses of veterans who are Florida residents.
