Survey Manager Heavy Civil/Site Development (North Atlanta GA)
Lead field surveying operations for active heavy civil site development projects across Georgia. This role oversees survey execution in the field ensuring accurate layout control and data collection for grading utilities and turnkey sitework projects.

What Youll Do
- Oversee and perform land and construction site surveys using Leica GPS equipment
- Establish and manage control points layout points and construction staking for active projects
- Lead field survey operations for grading utilities and site development work
- Take and verify field measurements for distances elevations angles and site positioning
- Read and interpret civil plans blueprints and topographic maps to support field layout decisions
- Coordinate with project managers engineers and field crews to ensure accurate site positioning and execution
- Maintain and review survey data field notes and documentation for as-builts and reporting
- Verify grades elevations cut/fill stakes and layout accuracy throughout project phases
- Set up calibrate and maintain Leica GPS and survey equipment
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements on active job sites
What Were Looking For
- Experience in land surveying within heavy civil or site development construction
- Prior leadership or lead field survey responsibility strongly preferred
- Proficiency with Leica GPS surveying systems required
- Strong ability to read and interpret civil plans construction drawings and topographic maps
- Solid understanding of survey methods field procedures and data collection techniques
- Experience with CAD or related surveying/design software is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with high accuracy standards in the field
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying terrain and weather conditions
- Strong communication skills working with field crews engineers and project leadership
- Valid drivers license with ability to travel between job sites
