Job Summary
About Company:
A fast-growing private equity-backed pharmaceutical organization primarily engaged in the API business with a strong focus on operational excellence expansion and building world-class manufacturing capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement & Strategic Sourcing
- Lead complete indirect procurement activities for CAPEX & OPEX categories across the plant.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for cost optimization and operational efficiency.
- Handle procurement of engineering utility maintenance civil electrical instrumentation HVAC ETP/STP and project-related materials/services.
- Manage sourcing of MRO items plant consumables spare parts and facility requirements.
CAPEX Management
- Drive procurement activities for greenfield/brownfield expansion projects.
- Coordinate with Engineering & Projects teams for timely execution of CAPEX procurement.
- Evaluate technical and commercial offers and finalize vendors for project requirements.
- Monitor procurement budgets and ensure adherence to project timelines.
Vendor Management
- Develop and maintain a strong vendor base for indirect procurement categories.
- Conduct vendor evaluations negotiations rate finalization and performance reviews.
- Ensure supplier quality timely delivery and compliance with company standards.
Commercial & Compliance
- Lead contract negotiations and annual rate agreements.
- Ensure procurement compliance as per company SOPs audit requirements and regulatory standards.
- Work closely with Finance for budgeting payment follow-ups and cost control initiatives.
- Maintain procurement MIS reports and documentation.
Team Management
- Lead and mentor the purchase team to ensure smooth procurement operations.
- Drive process improvements and digital procurement initiatives through ERP/SAP systems.
