Qualifications:

• Education: Certificate from an accredited practical nurse program
• Licensure: Current NY State LPN license and registration
• Experience: 1-2 years in an ambulatory setting preferred
• Technical Skills: Venipuncture medication administration immunizations basic computer proficiency including typing
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong clinical communication interpersonal and organizational skills; bilingual Spanish preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to organize care and activities of multiple patients.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Administer medications treatments and wound care under RN supervision.
• Monitor and document patient conditions vital signs and progress.
• Assist with care plan implementation and collaborate with RNs therapists and physicians.
• Educate patients and families on post-treatment care medications and recovery goals.
• Maintain accurate clinical records including medication logs and shift reports.
• Ensure compliance with infection control safety protocols and facility policies.
• Provide emotional support and advocate for the patients needs during rehabilitation.
