Job Overview

We are seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager Labor & Delivery to join a 16-bed Labor & Delivery unit in Clovis California. This role is ideal for an experienced L&D nurse who is ready to build on their bedside expertise and step into a leadership role supporting patient care staff development quality safety and daily unit operations.

The unit offers a modern family-centered environment with private rooms a supportive leadership team and a close-knit culture focused on excellent care for mothers babies and families.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily operations within the Labor & Delivery unit.
• Coordinate patient care and help ensure safe high-quality outcomes.
• Provide guidance support and mentorship to nursing staff.
• Help foster a positive collaborative and professional team culture.
• Support quality safety and performance improvement initiatives.
• Partner with nursing leadership to maintain strong department standards.
• Serve as a reassuring clinical leader for patients families and staff.

Qualifications

Required:

• Active California Registered Nurse license.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Labor & Delivery nursing experience.
• Strong communication leadership and patient care skills.

Preferred:

• Graduate of an approved nursing program.
• Bachelors Degree in Nursing.
• Prior charge nurse lead nurse or nursing leadership experience.
