About You

The Associate Lecturer (Education Focused) will contribute to teaching and course development within the Digital Health team in the School of Health and Biomedical Sciences. The role offers a supported and developmental opportunity to contribute to innovative interdisciplinary digital health education atundergraduatelevel.

The successful appointee will support the delivery of the undergraduatecourseFoundations in Digital Health which is taught across multiple year levels and disciplines within theSchool. Working under the guidance of the Course Coordinator the Associate Lecturer will contribute to teaching delivery assessment student support and course maintenance.

The role requiresexpertiseor emergingexpertisein digital health online and blended learning design and contemporary pedagogical practices. The appointee will collaborate with academic and professional staff including digital learning and instructional design teams to supporthighquality engaging andindustryrelevantcurriculum aligned withUniversityquality assurance processes.

Consistent with a LevelAappointment the Associate Lecturer is expected to develop their teachingpractice and educational scholarship with increasing autonomy while contributing positively to the academic community.The Associate Lecturer (Education Focused)is also required toundertake research/scholarship activities to enhance the educational experience.

This is a part-time position with a commitment of 14.4 hours per week.

To be successful in this position youwill have:


Essential

  • A postgraduate qualification (or near completion) or equivalent professional experience in Digital Health or a related discipline withdemonstratedrelevance to digital health and/or digital health education.

  • Demonstrated experience contributing to undergraduate teaching in higher education includingteachingor supporting students from multiple yearlevels concurrently.

  • Evidence of effective teaching practice with the ability to support diverse learner needs and differing levels of academic preparedness in digital blended or online learning environments with guidance from senior academics.

  • Welldevelopedcommunication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with students and to work collaboratively with academic and professional staff.

  • Demonstrated commitment to reflective teaching practice and ongoing professional development in learning and teaching.


Desirable

  • Experience contributing to course or subject development in digital health or related interdisciplinary contexts at a university level.

  • Familiarity with learning management systems (e.g.Canvas) and educational technologies used to support interdisciplinary andmulticohortteaching.

  • Exposure to industry engagement applied projects orearlycareerresearch related to digital health health technologies or health system innovation.
