Role Overview

In this role you will be responsible for purchasing products for the company through evaluating vendors negotiating deals and reviewing trends while maintaining efficient inventory levels. You will have direct relationships with vendors in the sports nutrition space. You will be maintaining all inventory related data in an ERP system.

You will perform routine analysis of fill rates product innovation POS and pricing as it relates to your brands. You will work closely with the sales team on forecasting to ensure adequate buys.

You will work closely with the VPs Buying Team Account Executives and Facility Managers to integrate sales and customer objectives into the broader activities of the business.

Position Responsibilities:

• Analyze sales trends and customer needs to ensure optimal inventory
• Evaluate vendors on the basis of price quality and speed of delivery of their products and services
• Purchase Order Management
• Recognize trends within brands through weekly sales reviews and apply updated buying parameters to maximize sales potential while minimizing exposure
• Maintain analyze and review vendor and customer reports
• Attend meetings and trade shows when necessary to make contacts with vendors
• Conduct routine calls with vendors
• Participate in weekly calls with vendors

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Excellent ability to initiate prioritize and multitask
• Strong organization tactical and business cadence skills
• Ability to develop strategic and collaborative relationships with vendors
• Motivated conscientious and adaptable
• Task and detail oriented: maintaining timelines scheduled reports and communication across teams
• Forecasting/Allocating expertise
• Takes initiative and proactively looks for and suggests process improvements
• Willingness and ability to travel when needed
• Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in Business Accounting Allocations or Supply Chain Management
• 5 Years Experience required preferably in like industry or consumer packaged goods
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel
