TITLE: Nutrition Services Supervisor
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Under general direction assist with Nutrition Services menu planning monitoring of operations and staff management district wide.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor Degree from an accredited college or university in Dietetics Nutrition Food Service Management or related field (required)
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) Dietetic Technician Registered (DTR) credential or School Nutrition Specialist credential (required)
- 4 years school food service (preferred)
- 3 years of supervisory experience (preferred)
- Experience working with federal state and local guidelines regulations and programs relating to the USDA National School Lunch School Breakfast and Summer Food Service Programs (required)
- Experience in budgetary controls of labor food and supply costs (preferred)
- Certified Food Service Manager certification (required)
- State of Arizona Identity Verified (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card (required)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure that the District complies with all applicable rules and regulations regarding procurement including the State Procurement Code the USFR and Arizona Revised Statutes.
- Assists the Director of Nutrition Services with the programs overall operation including supervising training school nutrition services staff and enterprise goals.
- Assist with daily kitchen sites staffing.
- Assist with employment interviews and staffing recommendations.
- Ensure menu nutritional analysis is in accordance with USDA regulations and principles of food supply management.
- Responsible for menu development and recipe testing for all USDA programs.
- Develop special dietary menus and provide guidance and training to school staff for students with special dietary accommodations.
- Support the districts health and wellness initiatives by implementing and evaluating health and wellness initiatives.
- Oversee compliance with all non-program food and beverage sales.
- Responsible for the procurement and ordering of food ensuring compliance with nutritional standards.
- Assists in menu production schedule with Central Kitchen and warehouse inventory management.
- Oversee and coordinate district-wide caterings.
- Travel to/from school sites on a regular basis.
- Replace and fill in for managers when required.
- In the absence of the Director of Nutrition Services assumes general responsibility for the operation of the enterprise.
- Any other duties as assigned.
