Symons Clark Logistics is a 150 year old family owned Port Adelaide based transport and logistics company. Our experience brings with it premium wharf cartage and container transport services with a focus on providing customers with complete logistics solutions including warehousing container pack/unpack distribution over-dimensional heavy haulage project logistics and Australia wide bulk haulage.
Symons Clark Logistics is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead our payroll function. This role ensures employees are paid accurately on time and in compliance with legislation Awards and organisational requirements. You will manage payroll systems processes and reporting while delivering high-quality support to all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end payroll operations ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Oversee payroll applications ensuring data accuracy system functionality and security.
- Provide leadership coaching and mentoring to the Payroll Team.
- Develop and maintain payroll policies procedures and compliance with legislation taxation superannuation and Awards.
- Coordinate statutory reporting including Single Touch Payroll payroll tax and year-end reporting.
- Monitor reconciliations and resolve discrepancies to maintain financial integrity.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance payroll processes systems and controls.
- Communicate organisational changes and ensure stakeholders are informed and supported.
About You:
- Extensive payroll experience with strong knowledge of the Fair Work Act and Modern Awards.
- Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to coach and develop staff.
- Strong systems knowledge and a focus on accuracy compliance and process improvement.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
