Job Description:
- The team is responsible for developer experience DevOps CI/CD and production services.
- We are looking for an engineer with experience in system design and backend services along with advanced knowledge of AWS cloud services infrastructure such as DynamoDB Lambdas CloudWatch API gateways CDK and Pipelines. Proficiency in Golang/Rust/TypeScript/Python is required.
- The candidate would participate in all phases of software development from requirements through implementation and test to operations.
- You will participate in the development design integration and improvement of the software.
- This includes designing and implementing a wide range of software using AWS stack sometimes requiring partnership with low-level embedded code software systems and architecting scalable design solutions for software distribution and deployment for satellites.
- You must be able to disambiguate high level of ambiguity and unknowns design flexible solutions and able to succeed within an open collaborative environment.
Key job responsibilities:
- Software architecture and design and development
- Understanding of AWS stack - IAM Lambdas CloudWatch API gateways EC2
- CDK constructs and pipelines
- Build tools for developer productivity monitoring and observability metrics dashboard
Basic Qualifications:
- 8 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5 years of programming with at least one software programming language experience Golang/ PHP/Python/ Java backend services programming
- 5 years of leading design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor and leading a development project
- The role requires strong expertise in TypeScript and Go programming languages with comprehensive knowledge of AWS services including pipeline SMS notifications EC2 CloudFront and SigV4. Infrastructure as code experience is essential particularly with CDK for pipeline development and S3 integration.
- The team emphasized that candidates should be comfortable creating CDKs using TypeScript and working across multiple services.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 8 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
Top 3 Must Have Hard Skills:
- The role requires expertise in TypeScript Go AWS services (ECR EC2 DOCKER GC2 IAM Lambda) and infrastructure as code with a preference for former employees.
