Job Summary

Role: Database Engineer

Location: Charlotte NC ((Hybrid with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote per week)

W2 COntract

Key qualifications include:

Strong experience with SQL and database design.
Hands-on experience with DBMS: SQL Server Oracle MySQL and MongoDB.
Knowledge of indexing partitioning and performance tuning.
Familiarity with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
Experience with cloud databases (Azure SQL AWS RDS Google Cloud SQL) is a plus.
Scripting knowledge (Bash PowerShell) and WinSCP knowledge required.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop database architectures (Mainly Oracle SQL Server)
Install configure and upgrade database management systems (e.g. Oracle SQL Server)
Write and optimize complex SQL queries stored procedures and functions
Monitor database performance and tune queries for efficiency
Ensure data integrity consistency and security across systems
Implement backup recovery and disaster recovery strategies
Manage database access roles and permissions
Collaborate with application developers to design data models and schemas
Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide timely resolution
Automate database tasks using scripting (PowerShell Shell)
Ensure compliance with data governance and regulatory standards
Support data migration and integration activities
