Hunter New England Local Health District is seeking an experienced and passionate leader to join our Child Youth & Family team as the Manager - Youth Drug & Alcohol Clinical Services. Based at James Fletcher Hospital this is a unique opportunity to shape and strengthen services supporting young people parents and families experiencing complex drug and alcohol challenges.
Youll work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and partner with government and non-government stakeholders to deliver trauma-informed culturally safe and family-centred care across the district.
About the Role
No two days are the same in this dynamic and rewarding position. You will:
- Lead and support multidisciplinary clinical teams across multiple service sites
- Coordinate and evaluate evidence-based service delivery for children young people and families
- Drive trauma-informed practice and support teams working with complex presentations
- Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to improve integrated care pathways
- Oversee workforce management service development and operational performance
- Promote culturally responsive care and strengthen outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
- Contribute to strategic planning innovation and service improvement initiatives across Child Youth & Family Drug & Alcohol Services

About You
You are a confident and compassionate leader with demonstrated experience in drug and alcohol services complex clinical environments and multidisciplinary team leadership. You will bring:
- Extensive experience delivering evidence-based drug and alcohol interventions and clinical leadership
- Demonstrated experience in trauma-informed practice and the ability to support teams managing complex trauma.
- Strong communication negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience leading services and teams across complex healthcare settings
- A collaborative and solutions-focused approach to service delivery
- A strong commitment to culturally safe practice and working alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
- Excellent organisational analytical and problem-solving capabilities

Youll be joining a passionate and supportive Child Youth & Family team that values collaboration innovation and continuous improvement. Support is readily available through the Director District Manager Allied Health Lead and experienced multidisciplinary colleagues.
