The Skylark Federation is seeking to appoint an After School Club Leader at Hamsey School. This is a wonderful opportunity to join a welcoming and supportive school community where children thrive and staff are valued.

We are a small rural primary school set in the heart of a thriving community with magnificent views from the school grounds over the South Downs -justtwo miles away.

About the Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and caringAfter School Club Leaderto run our club from the end of the school day until 5.30pm. We have an after school club assistant until 4.30pm. This position is availableMonday to Thursday.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing simple healthy refreshments
  • Leading fun and creative activities such as arts and crafts
  • Supervising games and outdoor play
  • Creating a safe happy and engaging environment for all children.

If you are already a parent at the school your child(ren) will be able to attend the clubfree of charge.

The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2018 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision. Accordingly the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process that they have not been disqualified under the 2018 Regulations.

If the preferred candidate is found to be disqualified under the 2018 Regulations the offer of employment will be subject to the application by the preferred candidate to Ofsted for a waiver and the receipt of a waiver from Ofsted.
