As a governor you will :

Governing Boards are skills based and cover a wide variety of areas. Whilst it is advantageous experience in education is not a necessity as you will have the opportunity to learn and develop your knowledge base. The most important attributes we are looking for is a Governor who is dedicated and has the time to fulfil the role is open to learning new things and most importantly believes in our vision to transform the life chances of the young people who attend our schools.

At Meon Infant School we are a proud member of the Thinking Schools Academy Trust. This enables us to create a unique offer for children: an all-through educational journey in which they remain with the same family of schools throughout their education.

Meon Infant School is one of five primary schools and one secondary school in Portsmouth to benefit from Thinking Schools award-winning resources curriculum and collaboration opportunities. Following this fixed term contract there is potential for a permanent role within our family of schools in Portsmouth.
