What this role actually looks like

We are seeking a committed and compassionate Coordinator to lead the day-to-day operations of one of our programs ensuring the delivery of high-quality trauma-informed and culturally responsive services.

This is a key leadership role where you will support mentor and guide a dedicated multidisciplinary team to achieve the best possible outcomes for children young people and families. You will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure services are safe effective compliant and aligned with program models and contractual requirements.

The role also works closely with a network of dedicated community foster carers supporting strong therapeutic care environments for children and young people. Experience working within community foster care including foster carer assessment support or development will be highly regarded.

Balancing hands-on leadership with operational oversight you will play an important role in driving service excellence continuous improvement workforce capability and positive client outcomes.

This position is offered on a Full-Time Permanent basis based across the South Region (Armadale and Rockingham)

You bring:

  • At least 3 years experience within community services child protection or out-of-home care
  • Experience working with children and young people impacted by trauma and complex needs
  • Strong operational experience including case planning safety planning and crisis response
  • Experience leading supervising or mentoring staff within a human services setting
  • High levels of resilience emotional intelligence and professional judgement
  • Excellent communication relationship-building and problem-solving skills
  • A commitment to trauma-informed culturally safe and child-centred practice
  • Experience in foster care will be highly regarded
