Whats the job

The Academic Planning Coordinator provides operational and analytical support to the Academic Administration functions across Higher Education and Vocational Education courses within Torrents Global Education (TGE).

This role involves supporting academic and business planning data analytics and intelligence initiatives that inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement across the student lifecycle. Working collaboratively with academic leaders faculty teams and key stakeholders the Academic Planning Coordinator ensures that academic planning quality and governance activities are underpinned by accurate data sound analysis and best practice processes that promote student success and institutional excellence.

Principle accountabilities (but not limited to):

  • Support business planning and intelligence systems that will provide insights that help the decision-making processes across faculty-wide academic administration operations programs and services including the development & monitoring of data quality metrics

  • Support the Academic Planning Manager in the production of Business Intelligence reports and analysis of data and recommendations to meet business needs.

  • Produce timely Student Academic Progression reports and inform internal stakeholders of any discrepancies/errors uncovered.

  • Contribute to the production of Class and Exam timetables.

  • Maintain knowledge of all Course Architectures of courses delivered within the faculties.

Who you are:

  • A bachelors degree or higher is typically required for this position along with relevant work experience.

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a Higher Education or VET environment preferably within academic administration business intelligence or planning.

  • Demonstrated understanding of TEQSA ASQA and ESOS compliance requirements.

  • Experience supporting data-driven decision-making and business process improvement projects.

  • Strong organisational communication and teamwork skills with attention to detail and service quality.

  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and apply new systems tools and processes.

  • Experience supporting projects administration or process improvement activities.

  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements.

  • Comfortable working with data technology and digital platforms to support efficient workflows.
