As Accounts Assistant you will play a crucial role in supporting our busy finance team and ensuring the smooth operation of the Village located in Frankston South.
This is a 0.6fte role working on-site between 8am and 4pm Wednesday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
Covering planned and unplanned leave for accounts receivable accounts payable and reception staff.
Assist in completing various accounting tasks such as accounts payable accounts receivable invoice processing bank reconciliations and various audit processes.
Perform general office duties including but not limited to data entry filing and document management.
Provide efficient and courteous assistance to internal and external stakeholders addressing in-person email telephone and mail enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements:
Proven experience in general office duties demonstrating strong organizational skills excellent attention to detail and punctuality.
Solid understanding of bookkeeping / accounting principles and prior experience working with a range of computer applications in an office environment.A relevant qualification (e.g. Cert IV or Diploma) in accounting or book-keeping would be highly regarded.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact courteously and professionally with diverse individuals including older Australians and their immediate family members.
Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
About us:
Staff are paid weekly and the position is covered under WSG9 in our Enterprise Agreement (currently $32.96 per hour noting that an annual pay increase will apply from 1st of July).
As a registered charity we are able offer tax free salary packaging for our staff which can increase take-home pay (staff can package up to $15900 per year plus other benefits). The Village Baxter offers onsite education programs and supports a family friendly workplace.
