Job Title: Medical Assistant

Location: Dobson NC

Employment Type: Contract (7 Weeks Potential Extension)

Schedule:

• Monday & Wednesday: 7:00 AM 3:00 PM
• Tuesday & Thursday: 10:00 AM 6:00 PM

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Medical Assistant to support both front and back office operations in a clinical setting. This role requires a well-rounded candidate who can efficiently manage patient interactions clinical tasks and administrative responsibilities while maintaining a high level of patient care and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet check-in and room patients
• Take and record vital signs
• Perform phlebotomy/venipuncture and specimen collection
• Administer vaccines and injections as needed
• Conduct EKG and point-of-care (POC) testing
• Assist providers with clinical procedures and patient care
• Manage appointment scheduling and phone calls
• Maintain accurate Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
• Support both front and back office operations
• Ensure a positive and collaborative work environment

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (in addition to externship)
• Experience with:
  • Phlebotomy / Venipuncture (required)
  • Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
• Strong communication and patient interaction skills
• Excellent attention to detail and computer proficiency

Must-Have Skills:

• Front and back-office experience
• Phlebotomy
• EKG
• Point-of-Care (POC) testing
• Scheduling and patient coordination
• Rooming patients and taking vitals
• BLS or CPR certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Medical Assistant Certification (strongly preferred)
• Occupational Health experience (preferred)

• Clinical outpatient setting
• Fast-paced team-oriented environment
• Requires strong multitasking and patient care skills
