Maintenance Admin Engineer Controls

DEPARTMENT: Maintenance JOB TITLE: Project and Electrical Controls EngineerFLSA STATUS: ExemptREPORTS TO: Engineering Manager SUMMARY:Performs daily support and troubleshooting project management a variety of engineering work in designing planning implementing constructing operating and maintaining systems procedures equipment and facilities. Works closely with other engineers in the development and application of systems procedures and equipment to increase production quality efficiency or volume. Keeps necessary records develops and presents reports and other documentation. Investigates rejects and failure patterns and performs root cause analyses using a variety of problem-solving techniques. Develops implements and works to instructions specifications and procedures both written and verbal. Acts to maintain the integrity of processes and products. Performs related and additional duties as JOB FUNCTIONS:Designs new electrical controls for production machinery fabricated at AstenJohnson Hampton facility. Which includes meeting with production personal vendor directing contractors debugging software and engineering support when in productionDesigns new equipment upgrades on existing Allen Bradley GE Fanuc and Siemens PLCs relays contactors electromechanical electronic and electrical components as it applies to production machinery and instrumentation*Diagnose and repair DC drives and 3-phase 460 AC drives motor controllers pressure sensors and circuit boards*Will support the parts department which includes spare parts inventory locating part that are no longer available and sending out bids for electrical partsWill provide engineering support for diagnosing and repairing electrical control problems in automated equipment in a large Industrial manufacturing plantPower distribution designDiagnose chronic problems perform inspections and calibrations as neededWill be responsible for documentation upkeep for all new electrical designs and electrical changes (electrical drawings working procedures machine documents PLC software drives programs and temperature controller programs) at Production Lines and communicating the results to support staffInterface with Venders to specify the right equipment cost and delivery time for the jobThis job supports a maintenance staff in a plant which runs 24/7 Project Management (Responsible for not only design but parts procurement and Contractors for installations)This job supports electrical problems at AJNW after hours either by phone or in person for support accordingly to resolve issues plant working hours are Monday through Friday from 7am-4pm. QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum of 5 years prior experience in an industrial control settingBS in Electrical Engineering or equivalentComputer skills: Microsoft Office CMMS and Prior PLC logic programming experience AC and DC drives programming Temperature controllers programming AutoCAD Software C training a plusSelf-Motivated and Team-Oriented experienceWork well with all levels of management and trades and must have good communication TRAINING:NFPA 70E Arc Flash trainingLOTOElevated Work Platform Safety trainingPHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:50% Office environment50% On the Production Floor (Walking Kneeling Lift 35Lbs)Pay range starts at $130000 annual salary
