Description
Landon Summer seeks an Assistant Aquatics Director to help manage the daily pool operations for Landon Summer Landon Schools summer camp. The Assistant Aquatics Director would work directly with the Aquatics Director in planning supervision and daily operations of the camps aquatic program to create a safe organized and engaging pool environment for campers and staff.
Responsibilities Include
- Assist with overseeing daily aquatic programming and operations
- Supervise schedule and support lifeguard staff
- Ensure safety procedures policies and pool regulations are followed
- Assist with swim testing attendance and camper supervision
- Help manage pool facilities equipment and supplies
- Ensure pool shed is clean safe stocked and neat
- Survey pool area daily and keep the area free of hazards and debris
- Conduct a daily check of equipment for safety cleanliness and good repair
- Communicate with camp leadership staff and families as appropriate
- Participate in meetings trainings and camp events
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Current certification in lifeguarding first aid CPR and AED
- Experience working with children and aquatics programs
- Experience supervising staff
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability and willingness to work outdoors
