The Aerospace Corporations Experiment Lab xLab develops prototypes instruments pathfinders and demonstration systems to address our customers hardest problems at the speed of need. We engage with our customers to conceptualize innovative solutions and deliver impactful products for ground and space and everything in between.
Within xLab the Office of Product Management is looking for a Project Support Specialist (Project Management Specialist II) to provide project support and track down critical information for the project management team. This team provides quality assurance and product assurance guidance and support that integrates industry best practices into an approach tailored for prototyping continually adapting to meet project and customer needs.
This position is based in El Segundo CA. and requires at least 4 days onsite.
What Youll Be Doing
Work with project teams on cost tracking schedule tracking hardware receipt tracking and document management
Working with PM and OPM staff document and maintain procedures and systems to support the xLab configuration management process
Working with PM and OPM staff help create and maintain database tools to track specific elements critical to xLab projects
Support the development and maintenance of xLab metrics and historical data using various communication tools
Ad-hoc general support to PM and OPM teams
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in a technical business management or related field or 8 years or more of experience in project coordination
Experience in an office environment
Experience in MS Office Suite specifically Word and Excel
Experience working with project management teams
Knowledge of Adobe Pro tools
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance
