Key Responsibilities:
- Secure the best possible pricing within approved budgets
- Create review and process purchase orders and RFQs accurately and timeously
- Evaluate supplier quotations and select the most suitable vendors
- Negotiate improved pricing and terms with suppliers
- Maintain and optimise the supplier database
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure the timely delivery of goods/services
- Oversee and manage import processes including cost monitoring and control
- Ensure supplier compliance with BEE and SHEQ requirements
- Build strong relationships with existing suppliers and source new partnerships
- Support site operations by prioritising procurement requirements
- Resolve supplier queries efficiently and professionally
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric with a relevant Diploma
- 23 years experience in a procurement/buying role
- Experience in the construction industry (advantageous)
