We are seeking a Senior Footwear Buyer for a permanent role based in Durban Kwa Zulu Natal.

Duties & Responsibilities

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

Grade 12; Relevant degree / diploma (fashion / textile / production / procurement) ideal
10 years experience in a footwear buying role
Must have the ability to perform the role independently
Valid drivers and willing to travel to East London as required
Strong negotiation skills and target driven
Good computer literacy including advanced MS Excel skills

The successful applicant would be responsible for but not limited to:

Take charge and procure Footwear products within specified parameters whilst adhering to OTB (Open To Buy) / Purchasing Budgets GP and Markdowns within the business.
To manage product processes from conception to delivery of order
To support the needs of the Footwear Department and functions within the business whilst inspiring innovation and future trends
To be proficient across all roles related to the buying department whilst reporting on key areas relating to the business performance
To highlight key areas that aid efficient decision-making within the business
Product analysis; Product Procurement; Trade Analysis
