Position Details
Emergency Hire - Temporary position lasting at most 90 days with an option of being extended to 120 days.
Position Summary
FLSA:Exempt (Not eligible for overtime compensation)
CSU Classification Salary Range: $5083 per month - $7228 per month
Hiring Range/Rate:$29.32 per hour. $5083 per month. Anticipated hire is at the minimum of the classification salary range.
Salary Grade/Range:1
Time Base:Hourly-Intermittent
Work Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Summer Hours (May - August) will be 7:30am - 4:00pm with a 30 minute lunch. Work hours dependent on department needs.

RequiredQualifications
- Higher education student services experience related to the assigned program area (e.g. advising admissions residential life student programming or development)
- Ability to independently prioritize plan and organize work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to provide direct programs and/or services to a diverse student population.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in a diverse environment
- Ability to compile prepare write and review reports
- Proficiency using standard office software packages (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite)
- Familiarity working with school-based record/data systems/software (example: PeopleSoft)
- Ability to understand interpret and apply moderately complex rules regulations and procedures
- Commitment to maintaining a welcoming and inclusive work environment with diverse colleagues and constituents including faculty students staff and members of the community
PreferredQualifications
- Experience working with students from various ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds including underserved students
- Experience facilitating leadership programs in a college environment.
- Experience advising student-led clubs and organizations in a college environment.
- Experience working with student engagement platforms (i.e. CampusGroups) Microsoft Access and Common Management System.
