Location: Boise Area

Schedule: Monday-Friday No Weekends

Compensation: $60000-$90000 expected annual compensation including base salary and performance bonuses

AutoShop Recruiting is partnered with a well-established independent automotive repair shop in the Boise area to hire an experienced Automotive Service Advisor / Service Writer.

This is a customer-facing sales-focused role for someone who can build trust quickly communicate clearly maintain strong organization and help guide customers through the repair process from initial phone call through vehicle pickup.

This shop has built a strong reputation through customer service process professionalism and consistent execution. They are looking for an advisor who can help maintain a high-level customer experience while supporting shop efficiency workflow and revenue growth.

What Youll Do

This is a front-counter leadership role. You will:

• Greet customers and create a strong first impression
• Answer phones and schedule appointments professionally
• Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle needs
• Build repair orders and estimates in Tekmetric
• Present maintenance and repair recommendations clearly and ethically
• Communicate with customers throughout the repair process
• Coordinate workflow between technicians parts suppliers and management
• Help maintain strong shop efficiency and customer satisfaction
• Support digital inspections photos and customer communication processes
• Close repair orders and ensure a professional customer handoff

What Were Looking For

We are looking for a Service Advisor who is professional organized coachable and comfortable owning the customer experience from start to finish.

• Previous Automotive Service Advisor or Service Writer experience preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to build trust and present estimates confidently
• Sales-minded without being pushy
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong phone and customer communication skills
• Ability to work closely with technicians and management
• Stable work history preferred
• Valid drivers license

Preferred Experience

• Tekmetric experience
• Independent automotive repair shop experience
• Experience with digital vehicle inspections and estimate presentation
• High-volume customer service or sales background
• Experience balancing workflow communication and customer expectations

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is positive relationship-driven and performance-oriented. This role is best suited for someone who enjoys helping customers communicating effectively with technicians and contributing to a professional growth-focused team culture.

This is not an entry-level advisor role. The shop is looking for someone who can step in take ownership of the customer experience and help support continued growth.
