Job Title: Automotive System Engineer
Role Summary
The Automotive System Engineer is responsible for the definition development integration and validation of automotive systems across the V Model lifecycle. The role acts as a technical interface between customer requirements software hardware and validation teams ensuring delivery of compliant high quality automotive electronic systems.
Key Responsibilities
System Requirements & Architecture
Analyze OEM / customer requirements and translate them into system-level requirements
Create and maintain system specifications functional decomposition and interface definitions
Perform requirements traceability across system software and hardware levels
Define system architecture and allocate requirements to SW HW and network components
System Design & Development
Develop functional concepts use cases and system behavior descriptions
Define system interfaces (CAN LIN Ethernet diagnostics)
Support AUTOSAR-based system definition (Classic / Adaptive as applicable)
Verification Validation & Integration
Define system test strategies across MIL / SIL / HIL / vehicle levels
Support integration of software and hardware and analyze system-level issues
Perform root cause analysis for system defects and drive corrective actions
Compliance & Quality
Ensure compliance with ASPICE system-level processes
Support functional safety (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity activities (as applicable)
Maintain high-quality documentation
Ensure adherence to customers OEM and internal quality standards
Stakeholder & Project Support
Act as primary technical interface with customers/OEMs
Work closely with software hardware validation and project management teams
Support change requests impact analysis and system updates
Required Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in electrical Electronics Automotive Computer Science or related engineering disciplines
8-10 years of experience in automotive system engineering
