Transportation Routing Manager (Effective 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR)

SUMMARY

Supervises and coordinates bus routing activities within the Tucson unified School District student transportation system which provides services to students. This would include coordinating and directing the activities of assigned staff developing and changing bus runs and routes using the most efficient route structure. This position coordinates with other departments throughout TUSD to ensure accurate data exchanges between student information systems and routing software.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors Degree (BS) in Business Management Logistics or a related field

Four years experience in school bus transportation or a related field.

Two years supervisory experience.

Demonstrated customer service skills.

Two years of automated routing experience.

Valid Arizona Drivers license

Knowledge and ability to use word processing database and spreadsheet programs.

Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

Five years experience analyzing data.

Project management experience preferred.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE

FBI fingerprint background check.

Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles) or proof of MMR immunization.

Work Calendar: 12 month

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.

Salary will be prorated if the start date is after the first day of the work calendar for the position.
