Simulation Assistant

About the role

The Simulation Assistant role plays a vital role in supporting program faculty to deliver a range of simulation activities by ensuring the preparation maintenance and logistic operations of simulation equipment and environments. This role contributes to the smooth operation of simulation services within Mater Education facilities.

Salary range: $32.02 - $34.52 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15900 access to many staff benefits!

What youll be doing

Promote and provide an effective and safe working environment by managing and maintaining the physical environment of the simulation areas under the supervision of the Simulation Leader. The main duties of the role will include:

• Prepare simulated environments equipment and resources in accordance with activity requirements including rooms equipment resources consumables and documentation
• Coordinate with program faculty to understand specific simulation needs
• Dismantle the simulated environment ensuring all equipment is appropriately cleaned checked and stored
• Utilise primary level technical proficiency to support aspects of equipment operation maintenance troubleshooting and repair for simulation resources
• Conduct simulation equipment preventive and scheduled maintenance pre and post use inspection as per organisation and manufacturers instructions to ensure functionality and safety standards are maintained
• Order and maintain consumables stores and simulation resources
• Keep accurate records of inventory levels and usage to ensure adequate supplies are always available
• Undertake administrative duties and maintain good working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders
