Duties & Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Electrical Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing developing and improving electrical systems and components for a range of projects ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Design electrical systems circuits and control panels for industrial or commercial applications
Prepare schematics wiring diagrams and technical documentation
Perform load calculations system sizing and component selection
Ensure designs comply with applicable standards and regulations
Collaborate with mechanical project and production teams
Support installation commissioning and troubleshooting activities
Conduct design reviews and implement improvements
Liaise with suppliers and clients on technical specifications

Minimum Requirements

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
37 years experience in electrical design (industry dependent)
Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN Electric P8
Knowledge of electrical standards (IEC SANS etc.)
Experience with PLCs control systems or power distribution (advantageous)
